I’ll admit I didn’t quite see everything going on when I snapped this shot, but it turned out to be pretty interesting when I reviewed it later. I know nothing bad actually occurred here, but it does look like the man on the right should be looking the other way, as the figure on the left does seem to be giving the couple too much attention.
Tupac
I’m still struck by how much culture from the US bleeds over into Europe, even after being here for over a year. This Tupac T-Shirt wearer was captured in Barcelona during a recent visit.
Rainy Day in Spain
It was a rainy day during our visit to Salamanca, Spain back in 2019, but didn’t stop the locals (and the tourists) from getting out and about. Our visit to Salamanca was the trip that gave us the idea to move to Spain, so this town has a lot of meaning for us.
Fiddlin’ Around
This gentleman is a fixture here in Valencia often found near the Colon metro station. When I shot this back in 2021 during our initial visit to Valencia I had no idea that we would see him often after we moved here. His playing may not be “the best” but he has tons of character 🙂
Bad News?
I’m guessing the received message was bad news, or perhaps this look is one of relief.
Walking this Way
The Techno Parade (2023) was shaking the windows of the apartment where I was staying on an otherwise peaceful Saturday evening. I wasn’t sure what was going on, but I grabbed my camera and proceeded to find the source of the sounds. Just down the street, I found the Techno Parade making its way down Boulevard Voltaire. I spent the next forty-five minutes on the densely packed sidewalks and streets, capturing images of the crowd and participants.
Nighttime Stroll with M
This mother and daughter (I’m assuming) stepped in front of us as we were walking back to our apartment here in Valencia. The light in this space illuminated this little girl and seems to have caught her attention in a way that tells you there’s a story we can’t quite see.
Lone Walker | Downtown Santa Fe
There was something about the expression on this lovely woman’s face that caught my eye on this morning in downtown Santa Fe. She seems so far away from the street where she stands.
Late Night Shopping?
Late one night exploring, the streets of Barcelona, I saw this passerby approaching and loved the play of shadows on the subject and his cart.
Ehhhhh….
On a busy day in the square in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico, these two gentlemen are obviously discussing a topic requiring some deep consternation. What was it they were talking about?
