Off to School
Captured during a recent morning walk in the El Carmen neighborhood here in Valencia. Often one will find wet streets like this even though there has been no rain. The reason for this is the street cleaners will come through, spraying their mixture of cleaning chemicals onto the tiles and bricks making up the pathways through the city leaving behind a reflective surface on which everyone walks, drives, and rides.
Early Day Glow
An early morning during Fallas 2024 as an ASV worker gets his day started. It was particularly misty on this morning which combined with the low, early morning sun added some nice drama to this shot.
Dark City
A misty evening in Lisbon captured with a Fuji X20 camera back in 2019. This image shows how even a vibrant city like Lisbon can appear dark and foreboding if you catch it at just the right time.
The Waiting Courtyard
While exploring Palma de Mallorca, we happened to walk by an open doorway to this courtyard. I found the light and shadow in this view fascinating here along with the lone individual carving out her own small space in this scene.
